David Arnold has been the Head of School at George Jackson Academy for the past nine years. David is a graduate of the Horace Mann School and Columbia College, Columbia University. He also holds two advanced degrees from Columbia in American History and Philosophy. After teaching middle and high school history at the Bergen School in Jersey City, David taught at the Dalton School in its History Department before becoming the Assistant Director of the High School. Upper School directorships at Woodmere Academy and the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California preceded David’s return to Dalton as the Director of the High School. Following Dalton and a return to graduate school, David served as Head of the High School at Friends Seminary for nine years and as Associate Head of School at Rodeph Sholom School.
