Justin Preston, M.A. is a researcher and recent graduate of New York University’s Human Development and Social Intervention Program. His research interests are in the effects of trauma resulting from political and institutional violence on the development of children and their communities, reintegration, and peace-building in multiple contexts. Most recently, his work focused on the utilization of narrative analysis to provide deeper insight into the experiences of former child soldiers. Before joining PACH, Justin worked with a nonprofit, nonpartisan education and social policy research evaluation organization in New York City and an NGO located in Europe dedicated to the treatment of psychological trauma and documentation of human rights abuses internationally.
